Web Development Process
Over the years, we have developed an efficient procedure for planning, creating and developing web solutions. Outlined below is our web development process:
1. Initial Consultation
The initial consultation usually takes place via telephone. During this conversation we will be able to determine the type of site or development work that you require. We will also be able to answer any questions that you may have.
2. Questionnaire
The second phase of the process requires that you fill out a questionnaire to enable us to generate a detailed quote for your project.
3. Quote.
Based on the answers to the questionnaire, we will prepare a detailed quote for the work that you require.
4. Signing Of Agreement
If you are happy with the quote provided, we will issue a standard agreement contract which needs to be signed by both parties. At this stage a 25% non-refundable deposit will be required.
5. Site preparation
During this phase of the process we will gather from you all of the content that you desire to have online. We will then begin the building and development process of the site. This is the longest phase of the development. You will be able to have input to the creative process as we will supply you with draft copies of the work in progress.
6. Testing and Implementation
Once the site is complete we begin final testing. You will be given the opportunity to review the site for any minor alterations. Once both parties are happy the site is uploaded to the live web server.
7. Ongoing maintenance and hosting
We are able to maintain your site and manage the hosting account on your behalf to ensure that your site remains at peak performance.
F A Q
Q. Can I have my own domain name (www.mybusiness.co.uk)?
A. Yes. Assuming that your chosen domain name hasn't already been registered, we can either register the name on your behalf or walk you through the registration process.
Q. How do I update my site?
A. All of the sites we build are equipped with a content management system. This allows you to add, edit and remove content at will. For more advanced sites, you will be able to add pages as well as have full control over the navigation structure of the site (see demo page for more details).
Q. How much does it cost to build a website?
A. Please see the pricing page for full details.
Q. How long does it take to build a site?
A. This depends on the complexity of the site, however start-up business websites can usually be completed within a few days. Brochure websites can take up to a week to complete, whilst larger and more advanced sites can take several weeks or even months depending on the complexity of the project.
Q. What about hosting?
A. We take care of all aspects of your site including hosting. See pricing page for full details.
